We live in an automobile society. However, a change in transport policy is taking place in our cities. You see more and more two-wheeled vehicles, whether they are the new e-scooters or the good old bicycle. In the countryside, this switch to the bicycle is difficult because of the long distances, isn’t it? No, says Stefan Thurner. He has been cycling to work every day for several years. And he does this in the countryside over a distance of about 20 kilometres. He cycles from Schondorf am Ammersee to Oberpfaffenhofen. To be able to do this in all weathers, he has various bicycles. A bicycle with three wheels for bad weather days and a recumbent bicycle with a rowing drive. So he often decides in favour of the bicycle and against the car.
